Ride a Real Train at Parrish

Still haven't ridden the train at the Florida Gulf Coast Railroad Museum in Parrish?  Check out the Florida Gulf Coast Railway Museum - All trains depart from Parrish station, off US 301. Music on Main Street at Lakewood Ranch First Friday of each month, 6:00 pm-9:00 pm. Free. Food and drinks available for purchase.

Paws in Motion Walkathon, Satur day, May 17 th to benefit the Humane Society of Manatee County at the Sarasota Polo Club. All funds raised at this one mile walk benefit the “no kill shelter. For more information, call Jennifer Grondahl at (941) 807-0734

 

Movin' for Meals 5K/10K run and 1-mile family fun walk, Sunday, April 13th, 7:30 am, in Lakewood Ranch. Race direction will be provided by FitPlanet, Inc., and proceeds benefit Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee. Timing electronically by Sommer Sports through a ankle chip assigned to each runner. To register, contact FitPlanet, Inc. Wellness & Multisport Studio, located at 5300 Paylor Lane in the Lakewood Ranch Corporate Park, or online at www.active.com . Registration fees start at $10 for the walk and $25 for the run, depending on date. All finishers will receive a commemorative medal and technical t-shirt.
